dr. Marzia BOLPAGNI

Marzia works as Head of BIM International at Mace where she develops and implements digital construction solutions for public and private international clients in five international hubs. She holds a PhD in ICT and Smart Construction and she is passionate in filling the gap between industry and academia. She is glad to be a member of the BIMExcellence Initiative, Assistant Editor of the BIM Dictionary where she coordinates more than 120 volunteers worldwide, Ambassador of the UK BIMAlliance and Expert at the European Committee for Standardisation (CEN) TC 442 where she chairs a Task Group on information requirements standardisation (Level of Information Need), an evolution from the concept of “LOD”. She is lead author of the Level of Information Need standard EN 17412-1, Chair of EC3 Modelling and Standards Committee, Honorary Lecturer at UCL The Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction and Visiting Professor at Northumbria University. She is also founder of Italians in Digital Transformation Uk, she loves sharing her knowledge with students and she is often invited as keynote speaker at academic and industrial events. She received several awards for her activities including Young Engineer of the Year and the Sir George Macfarlane Medal as overall winner by the Royal Academy of Engineering, Emerging Professional of the Year, InspiringFifty 2021 and Woman of the Future in 2021.

Gašper BRUS

Gašper Brus je diplomiral leta 2014 na Fakulteti za gradbeništvo in geodezijo Univerze v Ljubljani in po zaključku študija začel karierno pot v podjetju DRI Upravljanje investicij, d. o. o. v Sektorju za tehnično podporo projektov in razvoj. V prvih letih je deloval na področju infrastrukturnih objektov v vseh fazah življenjskega cikla. Sodeloval je pri recenzijah projektne dokumentacije, revizijah in ostalih statičnih analizah objektov, pri nadzoru novogradenj ter rekonstrukcij in sanacij objektov ter pri upravljanju/vzdrževanju DARS-ovih objektov. Specializiral se je tudi za vgradnjo ležišč na MPA Universität Stuttgart.


Z začetkom uvajanja BIM-a na infrastrukturnih projektih se je osredotočil na implementacijo BIM-a znotraj podjetja DRI d.o.o. in v vlogi BIM-managerja na strani naročnika/inženirja sodeloval na večini infrastrukturnih projektov pri naročnikih DARS in DRSI. V letu 2018 je tudi zaključil program Master's in Global BIM Management, ki ga je izvajala ustanova ZIGURAT Global Institute of Technology.


Leta 2022 je prevzel vodenje Službe za BIM v okviru Sektorja za tehnično podporo projektov v DRI d.o.o., kjer nadaljuje z dosedanjim delom na področju BIM-a v podjetju in projektih, kjer je zahtevana uporaba BIM-a.


Jure ČESNIK

SI: Jure Česnik je začel svojo kariero gradbenega inženirja kot raziskovalec na Fakulteti za gradbeništvo in geodezijo v Ljubljani, nato pa kot razvojni inženir pri Leica Geosystems v Švici. Trenutno v podjetju Elea iC skrbi za razvoj BIM-a in vodenje infrastrukturnih BIM-projektov, kot so predor Karavanke, drugi železniški tir Divača-Koper, predor Llogara. Kot mentor sodeluje tudi s Stanford PBL Lab, pri mednarodnemu magistrskemu programu BIMA+ in deluje znotraj skupine IFC Tunnel.


EN: Jure Česnik started his civil engineering career as a researcher at the Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering in Ljubljana, Slovenia and continued his professional life as a development engineer at Leica Geosystems in Switzerland. Currently, he works at Elea iC where he's overseeing the development of BIM technologies and BIM management of infrastructural projects such as Karavanke tunnel, second railway track Divača-Koper and Llogara tunnel. He also participates in the international Master programme BIMA+ and Stanford PBL Lab's course as a mentor and is a member of the IFC Tunnel workgroup.


Boris DEANOVIČ

Boris Deanovič is an architect and conservation consultant dealing with preservation of important architectural monuments and cultural heritage in Slovenia. His work is ranging from preparation of conservation plans and architectural recording plans to designing architectural restoration plans for restoration. He also prepares interpretation plans for cultural heritage.

He holds Master of Arts degree from University of Birmingham, UK in Heritage management.

As a mentor he was attending summer programs in Burgundy, France where he worked with students from Faculty of Architecture in Ljubljana and Le Centre d’Etudes des Patrimoines culturels du Charolais-Brionnais on recording early Romanic architecture.

As a member of ICOMOS he worked on an internship at National Park Service as part of HABS/HEAR team on recording industrial heritage in Alabama, USA.


Metod GABER

Delo, ki ga opravlja: Vodja digitalizacije, BIM koordinator, CDE administrator

Podjetje: Kolektor Construction

Metod Gaber je diplomirani inženir gradbeništva, ki se že od zaposlitve v Kolektorju leta 2015

ukvarja s podporo gradbiščem in uvajanjem digitalizacije ter BIM procesov v gradbeno

operativo. V 22-letni delovni dobi je bil projektant vodovodnih in kanalizacijskih sistemov,

vodja priprave dela, inženir v požarnem laboratoriju, svetovalec župana za infrastrukturo in

investicije.

Trenutno aktivno sodeluje na projektu 2TIR, kjer je administrator CDE okolja in BIM

koordinator.


Blaž LOZEJ

Blaž Lozej je začel svojo BIM pot v družinskem podjetju BIMsoftdesign, kjer je delal na projektih za Trimo, M-Sora in 360Karting. Leta 2018 je začel sodelovati s Scapelab, sprva kot BIM inštruktor, kasneje pa kot del redne ekipe. Trenutno v podjetju Scapelab kot BIM manager skrbi za BIM knjižnice, BIM template in priročnike, izmenjavo IFC datotek, izvoz količin iz BIM modela ter izobraževanje sodelavcev. V prostem času se spogleduje s parametričnim modeliranjem in VR sprehodi.


Blaž Lozej started his BIM journey in a family company BIMsoftdesign where he worked on projects with Trimo, M-Sora, and 360Karting. In 2018 he started collaborating with Scapelab, firstly as a BIM mentor and educator, and later as a regular part of the team. As a BIM manager, his responsibilities include creating company BIM libraries, templates and manuals, multidisciplinary coordination, exporting data from the BIM model, and educating his coworkers. In his free time he likes to research parametric modeling and VR technology.


Matteo MANDRILE

Matteo, architect by profession, has responsibilities at Snøhetta in Oslo for the management of project BIM deliverables & BIM documentation (BEP), standards & automation development, multidisciplinary coordination.

Matteo works closely with project teams to identify project-specific needs, and to develop and deliver data-driven digital design solutions accordingly.

Matteo has a rich experience from large scale projects design, sustainability assessment, multi-disciplinary coordination . He studied and worked in Turino, Brasilia, Cambridge, Milan and now Oslo.

dr. Bob MARTENS

Dr. Bob Martens is professor for spatial simulation and (computer-aided) architectural design at the Vienna University of Technology. Next to a significant focus on design studio teaching, he has been responsible for the erection of a Full-scale Experimental Laboratory. Since 2005 also acting as (vice-) dean for continuing education at TU Wien. Borne and raised in The Netherlands he gained his Building Science Diploma from TU Eindhoven and his doctoral degree from TU Wien. In addition a venia docendi was awarded (1994). Before TU Wien he was affiliated to TU Eindhoven and acted as guest professor at TU Graz. Bob has a wide range of experience in the area of simulation and conducts research activities in the field of virtual reconstruction (predominantly of destroyed Viennese Synagogues). Together with Ziga Turk he initiated 1998 the Cumulative Index on CAD (CumInCAD - papers.cumincad.org). Within the eCAADe-assocation (www.ecaade.org) he is acting as council member, after his presidency (1997-2001).

Akos PFEMETER

Akos Pfemeter is an architect by trade. He joined Graphisoft in 1999, which develops Archicad, the industry's leading building information modeling software solution in the field of architecture and design. Archicad has revolutionized architectural design with its Virtual Building concept that later became known as Building Information Modeling. During his 24-year tenure at Graphisoft, Akos Pfemeter went through various ranks, first supporting the German-speaking markets, then leading the entire product support team. He became member of the company’s Management team in 2006, as Director of Product Management then from 2007 on Director of Global Marketing. He grew Graphisoft’s Marketing function into a truly global mission by adding Product Management, Business Development and Customer Success into the mix. Since 2022, he has been responsible for building Graphisoft’s broader ecosystem strategy as VP, Technology Partnerships.

Nejc PIRC

SI: Nejc Pirc se je po zaključeni diplomi na Fakulteti za gradbeništvo in geodezijo v Ljubljani v letu 2012 zaposlil pri projektivnem biroju v Stockholmu, kjer je več let sodeloval pri projektiranju večjih prefabriciranih poslovnih objektov. Znanje in izkušnje iz tujine prenaša v svoje trenutno delo v podjetju Bexel Consulting, kjer ima vlogo BIM Managerja pri večjih stanovanjskih, industrijskih in infrastrukturnih projektih. Med drugim se ukvarja s pripravo 4D in 5D BIM modelov, BIM spremljanjem gradnje in pripravo BIM modelov na fazo vzdrževanja.


EN: After graduating from the Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering in Ljubljana in 2012, Nejc Pirc started his career as a structural designer of prefabricated buildings in Stockholm, Sweden. He is using his knowledge and experience from abroad to his current job at Bexel Consulting, where he is working as BIM Manager in major housing, industry and infrastructure projects. Among other things, he is working with the preparation of 4D and 5D BIM models, BIM construction monitoring and preparation of BIM models for the maintenance phase.

Uwe PROEBSTEL

Uwe Proebstel could verily be named a founding father of 3D CAD planning. He has been part of the ELITECAD team since 1985 and has thus had a significant influence on the software solutions from the very beginning. Due to his studies in physics and business administration, but in particular thanks to his decades of expertise in the AEC area, Uwe never leaves a question about ELITECAD Architecture, ELITECAD Mechanics or general best practices unanswered.

As Head of Sales Germany and Head of the Competence Center Frankfurt, ELITECAD customers as well as experts from various industry organizations such as buildingSMART or BDB (the Association of German Master Builders, Architects and Engineers) benefit from his extensive knowledge. From consulting, lectures and training to the evaluation of customer-specific adaptations, Uwe Proebstel regularly demonstrates his talent for conveying complex technical content in an efficient, understandable and entertaining manner.

dr. Vanja SAMEC

Dr. Vanja Samec has over 30 years’ experience working as a structural research and project bridge engineer, software developer and international manager.

In 1989 she started to work at TDV, Austria, where she held a position within the technical software development department as a software developer, project engineer and consultant.

She was involved in international bridge projects including Kwangan Bridge, Korea; Stonecutter’s Bridge, Hong-Kong; Dou-Shan Viaduct, Taiwan, Sheik Zayed Bridge, UAE, and many others.

Vanja Samec worked for Bentley Systems and managed the global RM Bridge Team as well as Bentley Systems Austria. She was accountable for technical consultations and presentations of RM Bridge and BIM solutions worldwide.

She has been actively involved in global bridge conferences with papers, and lead numerous BIM Bridge days across Asia, Europe, and America.

Using experience on international bridge projects, software development and leadership, she established the company BTG IT & Consulting GmbH in Austria in 2016, which was acquired by Allplan GmbH and renamed Allplan Infrastructure GmbH. Under her leadership, the BIM Bridge product Allplan Bridge was developed.

Currently, Vanja Samec is working as an independent bridge & BIM consultant, chairing IABSE Technical Task Group 5.6 “BIM in Structure Management”, she is member of IABSE Bulletin editorial board, member of international online e-BrIM magazine, among many other activities. She published over 50 scientific papers and articles.




Andraž STARC

Andraž Starc started his career path as a structural engineer and BIM coordinator in IBE d.d., working primarily in the energy sector on large-scale projects within multi-disciplinary teams. During the first few years, he gained rich experience both from the design of nuclear power plant facilities using BIM technologies as well as from working as a field engineer during their construction. After completing the 2nd level master programme BIM A+, he has been working as a BIM manager in IBE d.d., responsible for the implementation, management and development of BIM technologies on various projects for the energy, industrial, pharmaceutical and public sector. He is also working closely with key clients to meet their objectives regarding BIM and digitalization. He remains involved with BIM A+ as a teaching assistant and a co-supervisor. During his student years, he also worked as a student tutor and student researcher, completed the AEC Global Teamwork programme at Stanford University, and worked as a student intern/BIM modeller on a large-scale commercial project for one year.

Daniel STOEGER

Daniel Stoeger is an experienced software developer with extensive expertise in the field of project management and a special talent for communication and business development. Since 2016 he has been part of the XEOMETRIC team, which has been continuously revolutionizing 3D CAD planning in architecture, industry and mechanics for over 30 years with the ELITECAD software family.

The unique planning software proves that digitization and BIM can also be implemented easily and efficiently in everyday work with absolute freedom of design. As a buildingSMART Germany member, XEOMETRIC has been actively committed to open standards and the efficient implementation of digital planning, construction and operating processes for the entire AEC industry for more than 15 years. In this regard, the IFC 2x3 interface in ELITECAD Architecture was already certified in 2007 and has been expanded to include the current IFC4 interface and hundreds of prepared BIM data sets and parameters in the meantime.

In his work as COO, Daniel Stoeger drives many innovative company projects forward thanks to his ability to identify and implement important technological and industry-specific trends at an early stage. In addition, he is actively involved in various working groups in the fields of BIM, digitization and circular economy at renowned industry organizations such as buildingSMART and ÖGNI (the Austrian Sustainable Building Council). Furthermore, Daniel constantly passes on his extensive knowledge at specialist events and conferences.

Matjaž ŠAJN

Matjaž Šajn je leta 1987 zaključil študij gradbeništva na Fakulteti za arhitekturo, gradbeništvo in geodezijo v Ljubljani in za svoje diplomsko delo prejel študentsko Nagrado Prešernovega sklada. Njegova prva zaposlitev je bila v podjetju »SCT«, takrat največjem slovenskem gradbenem podjetju, kot CAD manager in CAD administrator. Bil je pionir in promotor CAD tehnologij v zgodnjih 90. letih. Leta 1990 je ustanovil podjetje CGS, ki se je leta 2003 preoblikovalo v CGS Plus. Po reorganizaciji podjetja leta 2017 je zdaj generalni direktor podjetja CGS Labs s sedežem v Ljubljani in podružnicami v Nemčiji, Srbiji in na Češkem. Glavne dejavnosti podjetja so razvoj programske opreme na področju cestne, železniške infrastrukture in BIM storitev. Matjaž Šajn je avtor svetovno znane blagovne znamke in izdelka Plateia. Danes se programski izdelki CGS Labs Plateia, Ferrovia, Aquaterra, Autopath in Autosign prodajajo v več kot 30 državah. Podjetje je dobro poznano tudi po svojih ITS izdelkih, kot so cestni vremenski informacijski sistemi. Matjaž Šajn je eden od ustanoviteljev slovenskega BIM združenja siBIM in njegov aktivni član. Vodi buildingSMART Chapter Slovenia in je viden promotor BIM tehnologij.


dr. Andrej TIBAUT

Dr. Andrej Tibaut je izredni profesor in vodja Katedre za gradbeno in prometno informatiko na Fakulteti za gradbeništvo, prometno inženirstvo in arhitekturo Univerze v Mariboru kjer se 20 let ukvarja z raziskavami in razvojem rešitev na področju digitalizacije gradbeništva: informacijskega modeliranja gradenj (BIM) in avtomatizacije gradbeniških procesov, inženirstvom znanja v gradbenih projektih in interoperabilnostjo na področju mobilnosti.

Kot vodja raziskovalne skupine v podjetju Lineal je leta 2014 za razvoj kompleksnih gradnikov za 3D modeliranje cestne infrastrukture prejel prvo nagrado na mednarodnem tekmovanju raziskovalnih projektov CITA Smart Collaboration Challenge 2014 v Dublinu. Med letoma 2015 in 2019 je bil prvi predsednik Slovenskega združenja za informacijsko modeliranje v gradbeništvu (siBIM), zdaj je podpredsednik.




dr. Mladen VUKOMANOVIĆ

Mladen works as a full professor at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Civil Engineering. He is experienced Board Chair with a demonstrated history of working in both the for-profit and the non-for-profit organizations in project management industry. Skilled in Project Management, Construction Management, Building Information Modeling and IT systems in Construction Industry. Dr. Vukomanović is a strong researcher and professional with a PhD focused in Project Management from University of Zagreb.

He is the vice president of the International Project Management Association and the chair of buildingSMART Croatia.
